More Pirates! Zaniness. . .

Pacificon 1997 was the first time in my memory that Pacificon was held away from its usual location of the Dunfey in San Ramon.  This year, it was held at the Clarion near SFO.  It turned out, with the exception of the hotel staff watering the flea market grounds just prior to the event, that this was a great site for a gaming convention.  Pacificon has since (seemingly) kicked the proverbial bucket, but fortunately Conquest has come along to take its place, and has quickly become a premier miniature wargaming event.
