Pirates! Thomas' Journey to Historicon '99

Avast! Flagship Games is on the Road!

That's right! Thomas Foss, intrepid Flagship Games partner and Privateer Extrordinaire, traveled back east to Historicon '99. As usual, there were more than a few award-winning games as big names in the industry from across the nation came to put on their very best events.

Thomas ran two Pirates! games while at Historicon. He didn't take a lot of photos, but those he did get are presented below.

As you can see, we bent the "historical only" rule a little bit with our airship, and I believe that is an Ictheasaur swimming around in the background, but you've got to cut loose every once in awhile, and the players really got into the game!

We are already planning on being at Historicon 2000, and, if my ex-wife will only cooperate (ha!), I'll be there to help with the Pirates! fun and run some Taiko! too!
